Postscript: Running Taoyuan exhibition
Shinkong Textile is sponsoring Running Taoyuan, Taoyuan City’s 2020 Creative Expo, by providing the fabrics needed for artistic projects as well as the textiles wrapping around the architectural structures on the site of a former military veteran village. The three colors selected – Shimmery Pink, Florescent Green, and Lake Blue – are inspired by nature and meant to liven up the fabrics whereas the printed floral and geometric patterns celebrate human ingenuity and cultural creativity.
A leisurely walk in the exhibition space where the modern meet the traditional, nature meets culture, allows for the rediscovery of one’s relations to the hybridized urban spaces we inhabit
while reimagining the possibilities of a more sustainable community-based economy.
