Aura Protection by oqLiq - Shinkong at the 2022 Taipei Fashion Week

OqLiq, an emerging Taiwanese fashion label, has been making the rounds of fashion weeks from New York to London and back to Taipei. At the 2022 Taipei Fashion Week, oqLiq presented the FW22/23 collection Aura Protection, which was previously presented at London Fashion Week this year. This collection treats clothing as a protective shield that safeguards the body and, by extension, consciousness and self-identification.

Five protective fabrics by Shinkong were included in oqLiq’s Aura Protection. These items are engineered to protect the wearer against the elements - rain, wind, cold, and UV rays. When the body is dry, warm, and shielded from the sun, one is able to focus on the joy or accomplishment of outdoor pursuit, thus freeing oneself of distraction and building confidence.
